The Bridal Spray Tan Timeline: When to Book What

Your wedding tan should be the least stressful thing on your list. Here's the exact timeline I walk every bride through, so your color is peak glow on the day — not too fresh, not fading.

4–6 weeks out: the trial tan

Never let your wedding day be the first time you try a spray tan. A trial lets us dial in your exact shade — how deep, how warm, how it photographs next to your dress. We'll find your color, you'll wear it for a week, and you'll know exactly what to expect.

Pro tip: if you have a dress fitting, bridal shower, or engagement photos coming up, schedule your trial before one of those. You get to test-drive the color at a real event.

2 days before the wedding: the wedding tan

Two days out is the sweet spot. Your tan fully develops on day one, hits peak color on day two, and any bronzer residue is long gone by the ceremony. Day-before tans can work, but two days gives us a safety buffer.

This is also when you want the Brazilian tape tan if your dress calls for it — sharp, clean tan lines (or none at all) placed exactly where your neckline and straps sit. Bring a photo of your dress to your appointment and I'll map the lines to it.

The bridal party

Bridesmaids, moms, whoever's in the photos — group tans are one of my favorite things to do. I come to you with the mobile setup, everyone gets sprayed in one session, and it turns into a fun little pre-wedding hangout instead of another errand.

Book the party for the same day as your wedding tan (2 days out) so everyone's color peaks together in the photos.

Week-of rules

Get your waxing, facials, and lash appointments done BEFORE your tan — they all strip color. Nails can happen after, just skip the long soak. And on wedding morning: no lotion, no oil, nothing on your skin until after photos if you can help it.
