Mobile Spray Tan vs. the Salon: Why I Come to You

By Larissa3 min read

I built Sol Society around a simple idea: getting a spray tan shouldn't require fighting traffic, sitting in a waiting room, and driving home sticky in loose clothes. So I bring the whole thing to you.

What a mobile appointment looks like

I show up with a pop-up tanning tent, my airbrush machine, and everything else. The tent sets up in about two minutes in any room with a little floor space — living room, bathroom, hotel room, bridal suite. It contains all the overspray, so your space stays spotless.

The tan itself takes about 15 minutes. Then I pack up and I'm gone, and you're already home — no drive, no parking, no sitting in a salon lobby hoping nobody you know walks in while you're in a hairnet.

Why clients switch and never go back

Privacy. You're in your own space, at your own comfort level. No shared booths, no strangers.

Convenience. Evening and weekend appointments mean you don't have to take time off work. Brides love it because I come to the suite while everyone's getting hair and makeup done.

Better aftercare, honestly. The number one way people ruin a fresh tan is the car ride home — seatbelts, tight clothes, summer heat. When you're already home, you rinse on schedule and your tan develops perfectly.

When the studio makes more sense

If you're local to Lynn and want the quickest, most affordable option, the studio is for you — same custom-mixed color, same me, just at my space instead of yours. And if you're further out, the mileage fee is simple: $2 per mile, so you always know the total before you book.

Either way, you get the same hand-mixed color matched to your skin tone. The only question is whose living room we're in.
